CME, Conferences, Workshops, Seminars, other academic activities conducted during 2008-2009 (in chronological order)

 

1. LRS Institute faculty participated as national trainers in a training programme on “Training of Trainers of Nurses” in collaboration with International Council of Nurses from 11^{th to 14th} May 2009 held at LRS Institute of Tb & Respiratory Diseases, New Delhi.

2. Dr Rupak Singla and Dr Rohit Sarin participated as members of the Joint Monitoring Mission for review of progress of Revised National TB control Programme in India jointly organized by Govt. of India and World Health Organization between 15^th April and 28^th April 2009.

3. LRS Institute faculty participated as technical member in Indian Medical Professional Associations Coalition against TB (IMPACT) held on 5^th April 2009 in New Delhi.

4. LRS Institute faculty Coordinated the MDR XDR subcommittee meetings for review of national DOTS Plus guidelines held at LRS institute on 20^th December 2008 & 20^th February 2009.

5. LRS Institute faculty organised a Satellite workshop on “Management of MDR/XDR-TB” at LRS Institute of TB & Respiratory Diseases during first International conference of SEAR-NATCON, 2008  on 7^th September, 2008. Dr Rupak Singla coordinated this workshop and LRS Institute faculty delivered talks on various subjects.

6. Dr Rupak Singla delivered a talk on “Diagnosis & management of Pediatric Tuberculosis under RNTCP” in CME organized by Dept. of Pediatrics at Maulana Azad Medical College on 22^nd August 2008.

7. Dr. M. M. Puri, Chest Physician (Specialist Grade I) delivered FACULTY LECTURE “Role of Lasers in  tuberculosis” in the Annual Conference of North America Association of Laser therapy (NAALT-2008) held at Hotel  Marriott, West Palm Beach gardens, Florida, USA from June  12  to14 June , 2008

8. Dr. M. M. Puri, Chest Physician (Specialist Grade I) delivered LECTURE ” Clinical presentation of MDR/ XDR-TB” in  pre conference workshop of 62^ndNational Conference of Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases, SEAR NATCON 2008, held at New Delhi from 7-9 th September 2008.

9. Dr. M. M. Puri, Chest Physician (Specialist Grade I) delivered LECTURE  “COPD –Early Diagnosis” in 10^th  Joint conference of   National College of Chest Physicians of India and Indian Chest society, held at Lucknow from 6-9 th November 2008.
